Metro Transit is helping New Year's Eve revelers travel safely by bus or by rail.

The agency is offering free rides between 6 p.m. Sunday and 3 a.m. Monday on all Metro Transit buses and light rail trains.

The Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, which serves seven suburbs in the southern Twin Cities, is also offering free rides on select routes starting at 6 p.m. Sunday.
