Suspicious Package Near MOA Forces Brief Bus, Blue Line Train Service Interruption Photo: KSTP

Buses and Blue Line light rail trains resumed serving the Mall of America Wednesday morning after "police activity" briefly interrupted service, Metro Transit reported.

The Bloomington Police Department tweeted that a suspicious package was found on the east side of the transit area and 24th Avenue.

Metro Transit reported authorities were able to clear the scene and that affected bus routes 5, 54 and 515 as well as Blue and Red Line trains were in service once again.

Police had been diverting traffic on 24th Avenue during the incident.
