Buses and Blue Line light rail trains resumed serving the Mall of America Wednesday morning after "police activity" briefly interrupted service, Metro Transit reported.
The Bloomington Police Department tweeted that a suspicious package was found on the east side of the transit area and 24th Avenue.
The BPD is on scene of a suspicious package located between transit and 24th Ave on the east side. Traffic on 24th Ave is being diverted and Buses are dropping off in the lot to the east. We will let you know when we have cleared the package.— Bloomington Police (@BPD_MN) May 16, 2018
Metro Transit reported authorities were able to clear the scene and that affected bus routes 5, 54 and 515 as well as Blue and Red Line trains were in service once again.
