Metro Transit is advising NFL ticket-holders with Gameday Fan Express Passes taking the light rail to Super Bowl LII to arrive at least an hour and a half early before their ticketed time slot for security.

All riders must go through security screening before boarding the train, Metro Transit tweeted.


The lines are indeed long, as reporter Brett Hoffland witnessed around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Those parking downtown should carry cash and be aware of parking restrictions. 

A KSTP staff member found a lot downtown near the stadium advertising parking prices of $240 - cash only.

KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas advises fans to dress in layers, as frostbite can set in as soon as 30 minutes with exposed skin in the cold.

While U.S. Bank Stadium is promised to be a comfortable 70 degrees, temperatures are supposed to reach a high of 6 degrees by game time. Wind chills will remain well below zero, around 15 below. Overnight, it could dip below 25 degrees.
