Metro area overpasses and bridges were especially slick Monday morning.

KSTP's Sam Ryan, filling in for Traffic Reporter Josie Smith, reported spinouts along westbound Interstate 394 and on the Highway 610 bridge, among other locations.

According to the Chisago County Sheriff's Office, there were multiple crashes Monday morning, including one along Highway 8 that temporarily shut down an eastbound lane.

The sheriff's office stated, "The bridge decks are ice rinks. We are assisting State Patrol with these crashes and will try to get them cleared out as safely and quickly as possible."

Meanwhile, Ryan said there were significant delays along Interstate 94 between St. Paul and Minneapolis
