Blue Line light rail riders might experience delays Thursday morning.
According to Metro Transit, a mechanical issue delayed a train near Nicollet Mall Station. As a result, southbound Blue Line trains were temporarily delayed.
7 a.m. service alert: Due to a mechanical issue with a train near Nicollet Mall, light rail service in downtown Minneapolis and southbound Blue Line service may experience delays this morning. We appreciate your patience as we work to get back on schedule.— Metro Transit (@MetroTransitMN) March 7, 2019
Crews were working to resolve the issue. About half an hour later, officials said the train had been moved from the tracks.
