Light snowfall causes slick spots on metro area roads

January 24, 2019 08:59 AM

Drivers might want to plan for extra travel time Thursday morning.

KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said light snow was falling and advised using caution on roads and ramps to avoid slick spots.

She also said drivers were doubling, and in some cases tripling, their commute times.

Meanwhile, a wind chill advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for dozens of counties Thursday.
