Metro Transit light rail service was delayed briefly Wednesday morning due to a mechanical issue.

According to Metro Transit, trains were delayed in downtown Minneapolis near Nicollet Mall Station.

Roughly 11 minutes later, Metro Transit reported an affected train was removed from service and the regular schedule had resumed.

Meanwhile, KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said drivers should expect delays near southbound Interstate 494 past Interstate 94 in Woodbury as well as along southbound Highway 101 prior to I-94 in Rogers.
