A man died after he was struck by a pickup truck while crossing the highway on a snowmobile Saturday evening in Aitkin County about 25 miles south of Grand Rapids, according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report.

The State Patrol said a Polaris Indy snowmobile was attempting to cross U.S. 169 near 610th Street in Macville Township around 5:48 p.m. Saturday. The Polaris was crossing from the west ditch to the east ditch when a southbound Toyota Tundra collided with the snowmobile.
