KSTP traffic round-up: Significant delays on SB I-35W from Lino Lakes to Blaine

November 20, 2018 07:29 AM

Drivers planning to take southbound Interstate 35W Tuesday morning should prepare for significant delays between Lino Lakes and Blaine.

KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said overnight work on the interstate was running behind. The interstate was down to one lane.

Minnesota Department of Transportation officials told Smith one of the construction trucks leaked hydraulic fluid, which delayed the lifting of the lane restrictions.

Normally, Smith said, crews in the area wrap up overnight work by 5:30 a.m. She said crews picked up the last of the construction barrels just after 7 a.m.
