KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said although road conditions had improved from Thursday to Friday, there were still several crashes throughout the metro area.

Several vehicles were forced to pull over on southbound Interstate 35W at 95th Avenue in Blaine early Friday morning as the result of debris in the road, Smith said.

Smith added that several vehicles ended up with flat tires as a result of hitting the debris and traffic was jammed in the immediate area.

Meanwhile, Smith said there were several vehicle spinouts early Friday morning, including one on eastbound Interstate 694 near I-35E that landed in the median.

A pickup truck, meanwhile, spun out on the ramp from southbound Highway 100 to eastbound Interstate 394. Smith said it was a popular spot for crashes and spinouts Friday morning.

Smith also reported extrication was required in a semi crash on eastbound Interstate 394 near Lyndale Avenue. Emergency vehicles were at the scene just before 7 a.m.

Smith said lanes reopened after a crew extricated one person and transported the individual to a nearby hospital. Delays were expected in the area.

Additionally, Smith said a Minnesota Department of Transportation plow was involved in a crash on eastbound Highway 10 near Greenhaven Road.
