Although the Wednesday morning commute started smoothly, a couple crashes in the north metro snagged traffic.
KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said crashes on southbound Interstate 35W near County Road H caused significant delays.
Smith said taking Interstate 35E could save drivers some time.
Meanwhile, Smith said a crash occurred on northbound I-35W near Cliff Road in Burnsville in addition to a multi-vehicle crash partially blocking the ramp to Cliff Road.

Later in the morning, Smith reported a crash occurred on westbound Highway 36 near Hamline Avenue in Roseville.
Smith also reported a crash on southbound Highway 169 past Interstate 394 blocked the left lane and backed traffic up to Medicine Lake Road.
