Two people ended up at a nearby hospital early Wednesday after two crashes involving three cars occurred in Hastings.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crashes occurred in the area of Highway 61 and Maycrest Avenue around midnight.

Authorities said a vehicle was turning when it was struck by another car coming from the opposite direction. Another vehicle in the intersection then hit a pedestrian.

Both individuals who were hurt are expected to be OK, authorities said.

Meanwhile, KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said to expect delays on southbound 35W prior to Highway 36 in Roseville and on eastbound Interstate 94 from St. Michael to Maple Grove.
