Updated: August 02, 2019 05:42 PM

Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts are heading to South Dakota as the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally kicked off Friday. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is reminding folks to be prepared for numerous work zones along Interstate 90.

In southeast Minnesota, the roadway is down to one lane in both directions between Nodine and St. Charles. Starting Friday, traffic is sharing the eastbound lanes. The exit from I-90 westbound to Highway 76 (west of Nodine) closed Friday as well as part of a larger bridge repair project.
