The driver of an Ellsworth Township plow truck, identified as 71-year-old Timothy Lorenz of Ellsworth, had reportedly been working on clearing the intersection when he is said to have struck a 2014 Ford F350 pickup driven by David Schneider of Durand. Schneider had been traveling west at the time.

He was taken to a hospital in River Falls with undetermined injuries.

The matter remains under investigation
