Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Blaine late Sunday night.

The crash happened just before 11 p.m. on the 12800 block of Polk Street, west of Highway 65.

Authorities say a car was parked on the road and a woman was standing behind the car while another man was standing outside of it on the passenger side. Another car driving on the street swerved and hit the parked car, pinning the woman underneath the vehicle. The impact of the crash also sent the man standing by the passenger side into the grass next to the road.

Police said firefighters pulled the woman from under a vehicle involved in the crash.

The woman was transported with injuries to her head and leg believed to not be life-threatening. The man was also reported to be OK.

Police are investigating the crash. No alcohol or drug use was involved in this incident, according to police.
