I-94 in east metro closing overnights this week, more ramp closures start near MSP Airport

Interstate 94 in the east metro will be shutting down every night this week for road work.

Tuesday and Wednesday, the eastbound lanes will close at the I-494/I-694 junction starting at 8 p.m. All lanes will reopen by the following morning by 6 a.m. At the same time, the ramp from I-694 southbound to I-94 will close.


Coming up on Thursday and Friday nights, the westbound lanes along I-94 will close at the I-494/I-694 junction. At the same time, the ramp from I-94 westbound to I-694 southbound. The closures will kick in by 8 p.m. each night and clear by 6 a.m. the following morning.

Watch for more ramp closures near the airport this week. The ramp from Highway 5 westbound to I-494 eastbound will close starting Tuesday until June 4. The ramp from 34th Avenue to I-494 eastbound closes on Tuesday as well. It will reopen by June 9.
