Friday morning, a high-speed chase in the Forest Lake and Columbus areas ended with two people taken into custody.

Authorities pursued a vehicle along southbound Interstate 35 at about 8:30 a.m.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, authorities noticed the vehicle did not have its headlights on in foggy conditions.

Troopers activated their vehicles' emergency lights and sirens in an effort to stop the suspect vehicle. However, the driver failed to stop and proceeded to lead authorities on a chase.

The chase ended with a PIT maneuver near the Highway 97 exit.

Two people were taken into custody without incident.

The state patrol identified the driver taken into custody as 36-year-old Heidi White, of Red Wing. Authorities reported White had outstanding warrants in Hennepin and Goodhue counties.

The state patrol has not yet identified the second person in the vehicle.
