One man was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Pierce County over the weekend.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened at about 2:32 p.m. on Saturday. Authorities said the crash took place at State Highway 35 and County Highway K in Hager City, Wisconsin, within Trenton Township.

Todd Gerhardt, 49, from Hastings, was operating a 2014 GMC Terrain northbound on State Highway 35 near CTH K. Authorities said the Hastings man was rear-ended by another northbound vehicle, described as a 2019 GMC Sierra pick-up driven by 63-year-old Larry Tapager, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin. The news release states after Gerhardt was rear-ended by Tapager, Gerhardt's vehicle entered the north ditch, rolling over multiple times and ultimately striking a power pole before coming to a rest.

The 49-year-old driver was transported from the scene to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing with undetermined injuries. Tapager was not injured in the crash.
