Fatal pedestrian crash in Plymouth under investigation

A search warrant has been filed in Hennepin County as authorities look into a crash that killed a pedestrian early Friday morning in Plymouth.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported a 37-year-old pedestrian was crossing Highway 55 near County Road 6 and was struck by a Dodge Dakota.

The 56-year-old driver of that vehicle was not hurt, according to the state patrol. Authorities said the driver was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, according to the incident report.

Authorities temporarily closed a section of westbound Highway 55 to investigate the crash.
