Maple Grove crash causes serious injuries

An early-morning crash in Maple Grove Wednesday caused serious injuries, authorities said.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. along Elm Creek Boulevard at Highway 610.

Maple Grove police said two vehicles were involved. Two people were in one vehicle while one person was in the second vehicle.

One person was in critical condition, police said.

A KSTP crew at the scene reported Elm Creek Boulevard was temporarily closed in both directions near the scene of the crash, as was the eastbound Highway 610 ramp to Elm Creek Boulevard.

The boulevard and ramp reopened at about 8:30 a.m.
