A U.S. Customs and Border Protection employee died in a crash on a northwestern Minnesota highway Thursday afternoon.

Christopher Bacon, 51, was killed in a crash on Highway 2 near Crookston around 1 p.m. while on-duty as an operations manager, according to the agency.
