A crash involving a vehicle and a bus blocked a couple lanes of Highway 55 in Golden Valley Friday morning.

KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said the crash occurred near Schaper Road.

According to the Golden Valley Police Department, upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the driver of the vehicle was dead.

Officers also determined passengers on the bus had suffered minor injuries. The department has not yet released an exact number of people hurt.

Smith added the westbound side of the highway was temporarily closed near Meadow Lane due to the crash.
