A Sunday night crash in Hopkins injured three people, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash occurred at about 6:30 p.m.

According to the state patrol, a Toyota 4-Runner was traveling northbound on the Highway 169 exit to Highway 7 when it struck the guardrail and continued into the intersection in the midst of a red light.

A Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on Highway 7 when it entered the intersection, according to the state patrol. The 4-Runner struck the Silverado on its passenger side. The Silverado then rolled and collided with a Toyota Camry waiting at the red light.

The state patrol said the crash injured a 34-year-old Excelsior man, who was driving the Silverado, and critically injured the Silverado's passenger, a 27-year-old Excelsior woman.

The crash also injured the 26-year-old driver of the 4-Runner.

The 35-year-old man driving the Camry was not hurt.

Authorities said they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The crash temporarily closed both sides of Highway 7 at Highway 169.
