Highway 62 Closes Again this Weekend, Lane Closures in Place Along I-35W

September 14, 2018 06:30 AM

Another closure along Highway 62 is happening this weekend.

This time around, crews will shut down the westbound lanes between Highway 100 and I-494 as part of a repaving project. The detour takes motorists to I-494.

Although the eastbound side of highway 62 will stay open, the roadway will be reduced to one lane from Shady Oak Road to Highway 169 starting around midnight on Saturday until 11:30 p.m.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation said there will be directional closures along the highway every weekend this month. Look for the eastbound lanes of Highway 62 to close from I-494 to Highway 100 next weekend. Learn more about the project.

Meanwhile, along I-35W, there will be some lane closures from County Road C in Roseville to 4th Street in Minneapolis.

Two lanes will be closed in both directions beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Watch for ramp closures along I-35W at Industrial Boulevard in Minneapolis starting at 8 p.m. Friday until 5 Monday morning.

Plus, there's a ramp closure in place at I-35W and Highway 280.

The first southbound entrance to Highway 280 remains closed until Wednesday of next week. A second entrance up ahead to Highway 280 is still open. Learn more about the project.
