Motorists in Eagan will have another closure to worry about starting next week.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation said eastbound traffic on Cliff Road will close between the Highway 77 ramps starting at 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 11. The closure is expected to last about a month.

MnDOT said drivers should follow the detour that will be posted, using southbound Highway 77 to Interstate 35E and then using the loop ramps to bypass the closure, or find an alternate route.

The westbound directional closure on Cliff Road that is currently in place will reopen prior to the eastbound closure, MnDOT said.

Work on Cliff Road at Highway 77 is expected to run through mid-July as crews replace the Cliff Road bridge joints over Highway 77, update signals and improve pedestrian accessibility.
