A closure on Cliff Road at Highway 77 in Eagan will start next week, the Minnesota Department of Transportation says.

MnDOT said motorists traveling westbound on Cliff Road will encounter the closure and a detour between the Highway 77 ramps for about three weeks beginning on Thursday May 9.

The department said the detour will take westbound motorists on northbound Highway 77 and Highway 13 to bypass the closure. Those traveling east on Cliff Road will use the usual lanes, but the access the northbound Highway 77 will be closed.

Work on Cliff Road at Highway 77 is expected to run through July, MnDOT said, allowing crews to replace bridge joints over Highway 77, update signals and improve pedestrian accessibility.
