A bicyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a box truck in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis police said it happened at N. 12th Street and Linden Avenue W.

Preliminary investigation indicates a commercial box truck pulling a construction trailer and a bicyclist were both traveling on 12th Street toward Hennepin Avenue when the truck turned right onto Linden Avenue and struck the bicyclist.

Police said the truck driver stopped immediately and is cooperating with investigators. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
