1 dead after crash in Roseville; investigation ongoing

One person is dead after a crash in Roseville early Monday.

The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of Cleveland Avenue, according to Roseville Police.

Authorities had put up caution tape around the area as investigators reconstructed the scene.

Police said a semi driver saw someone lying in the road and pulled over to check on the person.

An SUV reportedly hit the person in the road. Police said the SUV initially stopped but left before talking to officers.

Authorities are investigating what led up to the crash and why the person was in the road.
