A woman was killed in a crash in Sawyer County, Wisconsin, Thursday morning.

According to the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office, at about 8:30 a.m., a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries was made at the intersection of State Highway 70 and County Highway W in the Village of Winter.


An initial investigation indicates that a 2015 Buick Encore driven by Beatrice C. Stoner, 95, of Winter, was traveling southbound on County Highway W when she failed to yield at the intersection and collided with an eastbound semi-tractor trailer driven by 33-year-old Kenneth A. Beres, of Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin.

Stoner died from injuries suffered in the crash. Beres was not injured in the incident.
