One woman was killed and another two suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Rice County.

According to the State Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 10:18 a.m. on Highway 19 at Kellogg Avenue in Sciota Township. The crash report states a Dodge Caravan was westbound on Highway 19, stopped to turn left onto Kellogg Avenue, and then was struck from behind by a Buick Century.

The driver of the Buick, Donna Mae Otto, 81, from Hampton, died at the scene. Both occupants of the Dodge, 24-year-old Padah Yang and 72-year-old Nancy Liedl, both from St. Paul, were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. 

The State Patrol says road conditions were wet at the time of the crash. 

The incident remains under investigation.
