A 60-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle Monday night in St. Paul.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, at 9:20 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Aurora Avenue and Chatsworth Street for a single-vehicle crash where the vehicle hit a tree and rolled multiple times.

When officers arrived, they detained 25-year-old Isaac Mark Weis, the driver of the vehicle. Weis appeared to be under the influence, according to police.

Police said a 60-year-old woman was located partially pinned under the black Lexus and appeared to have sustained serious injuries. She was freed from under the vehicle by a bystander, and St. Paul Fire medics immediately transported her to Region's Hospital.
