A 5-year-old and 36-year-old were killed in an Aitkin County crash Tuesday on Highway 210 near McGregor.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, road conditions were wet when a Dodge Journey traveling westbound skidded and slid sideways, ending up southbound in the eastbound lanes. 


A Ford pickup traveling east hit the Dodge on the rear passenger side around 6:57 p.m., the report states. 

The 5-year-old girl in the Dodge was killed, as well as the 36-year-old female driver. A 15-year-old passenger in the Dodge was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. 

The two driver and passenger in the Ford were taken to an area hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing seatbelts.
