Three people were seriously injured in a crash in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at 5 a.m. in Hudson Township.


According to the sheriff's office, a Toyota Prius with three occupants was traveling eastbound on McCutcheon Road when it failed to stop and was struck by a Dodge Challenger. 

The sheriff's office said extrication was needed. 

All three of the occupants of the Toyota Prius were taken to Regions Hospital with serious injuries, according to the sheriff's office. 

The occupant of the Dodge Challenger suffered minor injuries, according to authorities. 

The crash remains under investigation.
