The sheriff's office said a 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by Caleb Albritton was eastbound on Quaker Road when the vehicle struck a field approach. The vehicle then vaulted over the approach and struck the top of a tree before crashing.

Albritton and his passenger, identified as 14-year-old Isaac Sonnenburg, were able to get out of the truck on their own. The sheriff's office said the truck then caught fire, starting a fire along a small portion of grass in the area.

Both Albritton and Sonnenburg were taken to St. Cloud Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
