A building in Anoka received substantial damage after a vehicle crashed into it Tuesday morning.

Anoka Police said officers responded to a crash in the 2000 block of Ferry Street at about 9:42 a.m.


The driver of the vehicle was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. The extent of those injuries is unclear.

Police said northbound Ferry Street's (US 169) outside lane will remain closed for an unknown amount of time as the incident is being inspected and investigated.

The Anoka Fire Department and Anoka building inspector were on scene assessing the damage.

It's still unclear what caused the crash.
