One person is dead and another has life-threatening injuries after a wrong-way crash in Itasca County Thursday evening.

According to the State Patrol, 66-year-old Patricia Elizabeth Francois was driving westbound on Highway 2 west of Jess Harry Road when she crossed the center line at approximately 60 mph. Francois' vehicle struck a van driven by 60-year-old Peter Linden Boyd.
