A St. Paul man was arrested after a crash in St. Paul early Monday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol said a 2002 Dodge Challenger was traveling east on Interstate 94 at a high rate of speed when it crashed into another vehicle at Snelling Avenue at about 12:10 a.m.
The driver of the Challenger, 24-year-old Tra'Valle T. Hesser, fled the scene on foot, but was later located by troopers in Woodbury. The State Patrol said troopers saw signs Hesser was impaired when he was arrested. A search warrant for a blood sample was completed at a hospital.
Hesser was then booked at Ramsey County Jail for suspicion of criminal vehicular operation, hit-and-run, and third-degree DWI.
The driver of the vehicle he crashed into was extricated and transported to a hospital with minor injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The crash remains under investigation.
