With center Pat Elflein set for a potential return and newly-signed guard Bryan Witzmann on board, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has some options as he sets his offensive line for Sunday's week two clash in Green Bay.

Elflein hasn't played since fracturing his left ankle in the NFC Championship Game. He had two offseason surgeries - one to repair the ankle and another to address a shoulder injury that occurred earlier last season.

He was initially expected to return during the preseason, but has yet to play in a game. He could make his return in Green Bay on Sunday.

The Vikings lost Elflein's backup Nick Easton to a season-ending injury in the preseason.

Witzmann signed this week after the Vikings lost tackle Aviante Collins for the season due to an elbow injury he suffered in the season opener against San Francisco.

Witzmann was born in New Brighton, Minnesota and graduated from Somerset High School, just across the St Croix River in Wisconsin.
