Timberwolves head coach Ryan Saunders smiles when he admits he's fully behind Michigan State at this weekend's Final Four in Minneapolis thanks to a longstanding relationship with Spartans head coach Tom Izzo.

KSTP Sports' caught up with Saunders at the "Clean Out For A Cause" event at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Thursday.  It's an effort that stemmed from former Gophers' coach Tubby Smith's donation of excess gear when he departed the U.  Saunders was a graduate assistant under Smith with the Gophers.

Saunders has been the interim head coach of the Timberwolves most of this season, having taken over when former head coach Tom Thibodeau was fired midway through the season.
