Wild clinging to final playoff spot amid slump

February 18, 2019 01:52 PM

The Wild have a five-game home losing streak, and are just 1-5-3 since their bye week. Sunday's 4-0 home loss vs. the Blues was so bad that the boo-birds were out plenty. The good news for the Wild is they are clinging to the final wild-card playoff spot, one point up on Vancouver. Recall that coach Bruce Boudreau last week made the declaration that his team will make the playoffs.

The team seemed relative upbeat at practice on Monday, and should get back forward Pontus Aberg. He's missed two weeks with a lower body injury.

Forwards Victor Rask (lower body injury) and Matt Hendricks (upper body) remain out.

The Wild host Anaheim on Tuesday.
