Wild with mojo heading into Saturday game vs. Dallas

Updated: January 17, 2020 01:34 PM

The Wild had a light practice on Friday in St. Paul, and KSTP Sports was there. The Wild beat Tampa on Thursday, and next play Dallas at the 'X' on Saturday night.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau noted that he thought about not having practice on Friday. But he's giving the players Saturday morning off with the snowstorm. So with many guys not arriving at the rink until late Saturday afternoon for the 8 p.m. game vs. Dallas, he wanted to make sure they got a skate in on Friday.

The Wild beat Tampa Thursday night, 3-2, handing the Lightning only their second loss in 13 games. The Wild ended a drought where they were winless in six of their previous seven games.

The Saturday game vs. Dallas continues this 7-game homestand, and a stretch of 11 of 12 games in St. Paul.

The Wild are in 12th place in the West, 7 points out of a playoff spot.
