After Monday night's game against Nashville at Xcel Energy Center, the Wild will only have five games left to move into a wild card spot in the NHL's Western Conference.

Going into Monday night, the Wild and the Arizona Coyotes sit two-points behind the Colorado Avalanche for the eighth and final playoff spot.

"It's a fun part of the year," Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau said Monday. "You either embrace it and enjoy this and let it grab you and go for it or you get afraid of it. If you get afraid of it, you're in trouble anyway."

Zach Parise and Joel Eriksson Ek will both miss Monday's game against Nashville due to injuries.
