Wild captain Mikko Koivu doing well after ACL surgery

Wild captain Mikko Koivu spoke with reporters for the first time since he underwent surgery last Friday on his right knee to repair his ACL. He tore his ACL and partially tore his meniscus in a game earlier this month vs. Buffalo.

Koivu is hopeful that he can be back for training camp in September, but cautioned that it's too soon to place any sort of definitive timetable.

The center was sixth on the team with 29 points this season and averaged 18:18 of ice time per game, third among forwards. He led the team with a 54.6 face-off percentage.
