Whalen's Gophers looking to end 3-game losing streak

The Gophers women's basketball team opened the season with 12 straight wins, but they've now lost their last three.

Gophers head coach Lindsay Whalen says they're turning the ball over too often and the team needs to pick up the tempo on offense.

"Anytime you lose three, nobody's happy about it," Whalen said Friday afternoon. "Everybody's waiting to get back on the court and get out there on Monday. We had a good (practice) today. I good intense practice which was good."

The 18th-ranked Gophers host 17th-ranked Iowa on Monday night.
