The winter weather is forcing the University of Minnesota football team's spring game indoors.

It was announced Wednesday that the team's annual spring game will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the team's indoor football facility at Athletes Village. The game had previously been scheduled to take place at TCF Bank Stadium. But the continuing winter weather forced a change to those plans.

Because of the limited crowd space at the facility, a release said the game will no longer be open to the public. But it will still be streamed on BTN2GO and will air live on the Gopher Radio Network. The game will also be broadcast on tape delay at 4 p.m. Saturday on the Big Ten Network.

The move indoors also means all fan-related activities planned for Saturday have been canceled.

Head coach P.J. Fleck said the team will hold a "fan-friendly" event during fall training camp that will allow the public to interact with coaches, staff and players.
