Wayzata's Nelko Wins Class 3A State Golf; Maple Grove Claims Team Competition

Wayzata Senior Tristan Nelko won the Class 3A Boys' State Golf Tournament Wednesday at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids. Nelko shot a 139 over the two days to hold off St. Michael-Albertville's Trey Fessler and Mankato East's Walker Reyes by four shots.

Maple Grove won the team competition with a score o 593. That was seven shots better than both Alexandria and St. Thomas Academy. Maple Grove had four golfers place in the top fifteen.
