Vikings Cook, Elflein Talk During Monday's Open Locker Room Session

September 24, 2018 05:35 PM

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook, who missed Sunday's loss vs. Buffalo with a hamstring injury, said on Monday that he feels good heading into Thursday's game at the L.A. Rams. Tuesday's lone practice day this week will be the tell-all on whether he officially plays.

The Vikings have the one practice day, Tuesday, then hop a plane Tuesday night for Los Angeles. They'll do a walk-through on Wednesday then play the 3-0 Rams on Thursday night.

We talked with center Pat Elflein on Monday, who had a solid return on Sunday as a backup. He split reps with Brett Jones, and presumably will be back in the starting lineup vs. L.A. Elflein missed all of training camp and the first two games of the season following offseason ankle and shoulder surgeries.

We should get an update on cornerback Trae Waynes (ankle) on Tuesday when coach Mike Zimmer addresses reporters.
