From there, the Vikings defense took over.

Thanks in part to eight second half sacks (9 total in the game, the Vikings D held Miami to gain a total of just 10 yards in the final 29:49 of the game.

Despite a mid-game lull, the offense did what was needed to ice the game, scoring 17 fourth-quarter points with scoring drives on each of their final three meaningful possessions.

The win keeps the 7-6-1 Vikings above the cut line in the NFC playoff race.

They travel to Detroit next Sunday for the final road game of the season.
