The Mike Zimmer Golf Classic is the first major fundraiser for the Mike Zimmer Foundation (MZF), which aims to keep Vikki's Zimmer's (Mike's late wife) spirit alive by providing opportunities to the youth of today to benefit the future of tomorrow. Proceeds from the weekend will help underwrite college scholarships for deserving high school seniors and will help Zimmer host a free youth football camp in June for boys and girls ages 7-14.

A private fundraising event on Saturday kicked off the weekend with camaraderie, food, drinks, golf and games while raising money for a great cause.

Many Vikings players, including Kirk Cousins, Adam Thielen, Kyle Rudolph, Riley Reiff, Harrison Smith, and Everson Griffen played in the golf tourney.
